Theresa mary Reardon Offerman Obit

THERESA MARY REARDON OFFERMAN, 71, of Emily passed away peacefully, on Dec. 28, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1954, in Minneapolis to Henry and Mary Reardon. She was a life-long learner and educator. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics Education from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She began her teaching career at Holy Angels Academy. She also taught at the University of Minnesota and St. Olaf College. She ended her teaching career at Mounds Park Academy after 30 years of service to the school. In addition to teaching, she also wrote forewords for math textbooks, contributed to mathematics programs for NASA, and managed summer school programs. She was passionate about sewing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was often described as compassionate and always willing to help others. She sewed countless baby blankets for family and friends and loved cooking meals for others. She enjoyed 10 years of retirement at her northern Minnesota lake home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Reardon. She is survived by her husband, Leo Offerman; her three children Alan (Amy) Offerman, Ben (Katelin) Offerman, and Kelly (Jeff) Dahmen; her siblings John Reardon, Joe Reardon, Julie Babineau, and Rosemary Miller; and seven grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life held on June 27, 2026, at the Pickled Loon restaurant in Emily from 1 to 3 p.m.
