Violet Agnes Kuschel Obit

VIOLET AGNES KUSCHEL was born on April 5, 1925 and passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 at the remarkable age of 100. She was born to John and Olga Nordin in Brainerd, MN. Her siblings included: Glen, Verna, Vivian, Marvin, Irene, Kenny who are all deceased and one living sister Harriet (her husband George). Violet graduated from Brainerd High School, now Washington Administrative Offices in 1943 and married her sweetheart, Richard Kuschel, upon his return from WWII in September 1946. They shared 65 loving years together until Dick’s passing in May 2011. They had five children: Richard (son Russel; wife Nosara and children Reece and Rodney); Linda, Robert (deceased, wife Cindra and children Reid, Ryan and wife Brittany and their children Raleigh and Royal); Ronald (wife Kay and daughter Leah and husband Tyler); Raymond (sons Ray Randall and Ron Jeffery). Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her great joy, and she was so proud of them; they loved her dearly. Deb Kummet, daughter of Shirley (deceased), Vi’s best friend, was like a daughter to her and kept in close contact. Violet spent most of her 100 years in the area: Brainerd, Little Falls, Riverton and Crosby. Violet enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and tending her flower beds. Her last year was spent in Dewey, AZ, in a retirement community under the loving care of her daughter Linda. We all love Vi’s beautiful personality and will greatly miss her.
