Vonnie Lee Tatro Obit

VONNIE LEE TATRO, aka “Spud”, 83, of Ironton, died May 1, 2021. He was born May 9, 1937 in Immogene to Harry Tatro and Amy (Adams) Tatro. He was famously known as the MN Hitchhiker as he traveled many places for many years. He loved the Colorado mountains as he would rebuild abandoned buildings and make cabins for anyone to use. Empire Hilton was his favorite as he felt God there. He joined the Army National Guard in 1955 and transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1956, completing a four-year term with an honorable ranking as an E3 Aircraft Mechanic. He was an avid member of the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Amy and Harry Tatro, two sisters, Sondra May Tatro and Sandra Kay Kimball, and wife Sharon. A Memorial Service was held.
