Donald Bloomquist Obit

DONALD "DON" R. BLOOMQUIST, 85, of Merrifield passed away on Aug. 9, 2019.
 He was very family oriented, he loved his family and friends, he loved Sweet Pea, race car driving, snowmobiling, clearing trails, wildlife, wood crafts, NASCAR, Twins, and the Vikings. He has been a self-sufficient man since he was a young boy. His first job was as a paper boy. From there, he worked through his high school years, then worked for Honeywell for 25 years; he then started his own business with his brother Jim and another partner, Roger. He retired at 55 and moved to God’s country with his love, Dee.
Preceded in death by parents; a brother; a granddaughter; a grandson and a great- grandson.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Dorothy “Dee” Bloomquist; daughters, Linda (Tom) Piper, Diane (Donnie) Flom, Cheryl (Keith) Nielsen, Joni Bloomquist; a son, Donald Bloomquist; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister; brothers, Robert (Marge), James (Cindy), and many nieces and nephews.
