Ronald "Ron" Lawrence Houle Obit

Ronald “Ron” Lawrence Houle, 64, of Merrifield, died at home on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019.
He was born in Little Falls on Oct. 6, 1955. Ron was the second of seven children. He graduated from Little Falls High School and furthered his education with a master’s degree from College of Saint Scholastica.
He married Darlene (Vogel) Houle  on Sept. 3, 1994. They were happily married for 25 years.
He worked as a District Sales Manager with the Star Tribune for 17 years before becoming an IT Instructor at Central Lakes College for the next 25 years of his life. He was also actively involved in volunteering as a baseball coach and BMX track director in the Brainerd Lakes Area for many years.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending his free time in the outdoors. He could be found hunting and fishing with his seven children and 12 grandchildren.
His father, Lawrence Houle, and mother, Dolores (Colombe) Houle precede him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Darlene; seven children and their spouses, Benjamin and Kassandra Houle; Sarah and Joshua Oehrlein; Zachary and Jolene Houle; Brady and Kassandra Houle; Tylor Bendson;  Kyle and Brenda Bendson and Kayla and Chris Bendson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six siblings.
Services have been held.
