Female threatened in Barrows

On Tuesday, March 31, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 hangup from a female asking for help.  The caller hung up before any further details could be obtained. 
Approximatey two hours later, a female reported that while at a residence in the area of Brandon Way in Barrows, she had been hit with a baseball bat and threatened with a gun by persons known to her.  The person(s) fired the gun in the direction of her car. 
Sheriff Goddard reports  his deputies are investigating the matter.  Sheriff Goddard believes this was an incident between persons associated with each other.  A firearm has been located and seized, therefore Sheriff Goddard does not believe there is a concern for the safety of the public in this matter.
