John H. Savaloja Obit

JOHN H. SAVALOJA, 67, of Trommald, died at his home on April 6, 2020 after 599 days of battling Glioblastoma.  He was born on Feb. 3, 1953 in Wadena to Harold and Shirley (Erckenbrack) Savaloja.  John married Virginia “Ginny” Milberry on Sept. 20, 2001 in Trommald.  He was a retired Highway Technician with MNDOT with 29 years of service.
Preceding John in death are is father, Harold in 2013; two brothers, Terry Savaloja in1992 and Mark Savaloja in 2003 and Goldie, the best dog ever.
John is survived by his wife Ginny; his mother, Shirley Savaloja of Deerwood; one step-son, Patrick Raverty of Brainerd; one step-daughter, Erin (Neil) Erickson of Apple Valley; one brother, Bruce Savaloja of Wamego, Kansas; three sisters, Linda (Bud) Nelson of Deerwood, Cathy (John) Vidmar of Buffalo and Peggy (Dale) Roseir of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Maya and Emma Erickson.
A Service is being planned for a later date.
Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
