Raymond I. Ferrari Obit

RAYMOND I. FERRARI, 83, of Aitkin, formerly of Cuyuna, died at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Crosby on Feb. 15, 1937 to John and Amelia (Kosnitch) Ferrari.  He served as a Specialist in the U.S. Army. He married Catherine “Cathey” Bjerkness on Feb. 15, 1994 in Brainerd.  He was a retired police officer from the Crosby Police Department with 34 years of service, and a retired Crosby Fireman.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife and one brother, John “Jinx” Ferrari.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Allison Ferrari of Emily, Mark and Shanon Ferrari of Cuyuna, Tony and Diane Ferrari of Lincoln, CA and Ted and Jennifer Ferrari of Baxter; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tim Jensen of Pillager; a brother, Bob Ferrari of Crosby and two sisters, and brothers-in-law Delores “Dodo” Waffensmith and Bob Geske of Deerwood and Glee and Keith Lundgren of Crosby; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service is being planned for after the first of the year.
