Elmer W. Johnson Jr Obit

ELMER WILLIAM JOHNSON JR., 86, of Baxter, died at his home on Dec. 4, 2020.
He was born on December 9, 1933 in Little Falls to Elmer and Matilda (Skillings) Johnson Sr.  Elmer was a U.S.  Army veteran.  He married Betty Minor on June 24, 1953 in Rice Lake, WI. A retired employee of American Hoist and Derrick with 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Betty; three daughters, Diane (Vince) Cardinal of Oro Valley, AZ, Denise (David) Richter of Maplewood and Dawn (Bruce) Batzlaff of Alexandria; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son David Johnson and sister Gertrude Johnson.
A visitation will be open to the public from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec.15, 2020 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  A private funeral will be at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow the private funeral at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton, friends are welcome to attend. Social distancing rules will be observed and face masks are required.
