Alden E. Jennison Obit

ALDEN E. JENNISON, 88, of Deerwood, died at his home in Deerwood sometime during the week of Jan. 24, 2021.  He retired after a long career working in the sheet metal shop that he owned.  After retirement he was a regular working at the food shelf in Crosby and he was often up at 3 a.m. making donuts to sell to many organizations with the proceeds going to several charities.  Any time the Deerwood Legion had a fish fry, he was there to help.  Family was important to him.  
He was born on Nov. 3, 1932 in Crosby to Oakley and Amanda (Nystrom) Jennison.  He was a WWII Army Korean War Veteran and very proud of his service. He was a member of the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood, the Walter-Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 of Deerwood and a life member of the 194th Tank Regiment in Brainerd.
Preceding him in death are his parents; four brothers, Layton, Clifton, Clifford and Art Lindroth; and three sisters, Virginia Rudquist, Charlotte Moser, and Lorraine McCarvell.
He is survived by one brother, Robert Lindroth of Everett, WA and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors by the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 of Deerwood.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
