Gail Marie Nicholson Obit

GAIL MARIE NICHOLSON, 70, of Montrose, died Feb. 2, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 11, 1950 in Crosby to Irene and Donald Meyer.  She married her beloved husband Samuel in Annandale on Oct. 20, 1979.
She lived every day of her life loving others unconditionally. You were special to her, and you knew it. She also kept a positive attitude through out her battle with cancer. She was the one who was sick, and yet she was making sure everyone else was okay. When she stood at the gates of heaven I am positive she was ticked, she swore she would live to 100. She hung on long enough to meet her first great-grandchild Benton. She crammed a lifetime of love into those few months she was able to spend with him. She is already missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her  beloved husband Samuel; a brother Jerry Heise and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters  and son-in-law Kelly and Pete Griffin of Monticello, Amy Nicholson and Laura Nicholson, both of Montrose; granddaughters Samantha Gibbs of Buffalo and Bethany Gibbs of Montrose; great-grandson Benton, bonus great-grandchildren Maggie and Wyatt; sister Jackie Holmvig of Crosby; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Tina Meyer, Baxter, brother-in-law Jerry Holmvig; special friend Barb O'Brien of Crosby, MANY favorite nieces and nephews (sorry Butch), family and friends.
A private family burial will be held due to COVID-19 at Hillside Cemetery in New Brighton.
