Steven "Evy" A. Evans Obit

STEVEN "EVY" A. EVANS, 70, of Crosby-Ironton died in Medford, WI on Nov. 28, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born in Crosby on March 15, 1950 to Claude and Rae (Bjerkness) Evans. He attended Grand Rapids High School and Itasca Community College. He was an outstanding baseball player, eventually playing in the AA League. He moved to Crosby-Ironton and lived there 50 years. He was an active member of the community. He was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life. He loved playing golf with family and friends. All who knew him knew of his love for his team, the Minnesota Twins. He loved his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Andrew C.  and Lindsay Wieland, two grandchildren and his sister Paula Evans of Sun City, AZ. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 30 at the Ironton American Legion from 1 to 4 p.m.
