Betty Ann McConnell Obit

BETTY ANN McCONNELL,  89, of Crosby, died on Oct. 16, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on Nov. 29, 1931 in Dairyland, WI to Roy and Anna (Gross) Fischer.  She  married Richard McConnell on Feb. 7, 1950 in Superior, WI. She was a retired property owner/manager in the Superior area and formerly owned B & J’s Bar in Foxboro, WI.  She moved to the Crosby area in 2012.  Along with her own endeavors, she enjoyed sharing her husband’s military career. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Richard and one sister, Fanny Sylvester. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sebrina and Daniel Van Nurden of Aitkin and two grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.   A Memorial Gathering will be 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
