Florence Leona Snook Obit

FLORENCE LEONA SNOOK, 94, of Crosby, died on March 8, 2022 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born in Mountain Lake on Feb. 17, 1928 to Eilert and Gerdena (Siefkes) Strenge.  Florence married Donald Ray Snook on April 3, 1950 in Mountain Lake. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Preceding Florence in death are her parents; her husband, Donald; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Harlan Johnson; son, Kenneth Snook; grandson, Matthew Snook; great-grandson, Jackson Taylor; six brothers, George, Dick, Calvin, Eilert, Lawrence and John Strenge and six sisters, Gretchen Huebsch, Dena Carlson, Josephine Penner, Evangeline Harder, Annabelle Olson and Margaret Rosenberg. Florence is survived by five daughters; Sandra (John) Taylor of Deerwood, Carol (Ken) Rood of Aitkin, Karen (John) Rosecrans of Deerwood, Patty (Jerry) Horazdovsky of Andover and Sherie (Art) Rogers of St. Paul; daughter-in-law, CeCe Snook of Crosby; 15 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
