David W. Hicks Obit

DAVID W. HICKS, 84, of Ironton, died at his home on Nov. 6, 2022.  He was born on March 31, 1938 in St. Paul to Gordon and Marguerite (Rathbone) Hicks.  He was a retired owner of a Auto Service Center  in St. Louis Park and a retired realtor with North County Realty in Crosby.  He was also a former school bus driver for the Crosby-Ironton Transportation.  He served as a  mayor and council person for the City of Ironton. Preceding him in death are his parents; one daughter, Cindy Butts and one brother, Gordon Hicks. He is survived by his wife Marleys; four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ann Hicks of Minnetonka, Rick Hicks of Apple Valley, Steve and Jodi Shafer of Lakeville and Rick and Terri Shafer of Crosby; two daughters and son-in-law, Robyn Wagner of Maple Grove and Nikki and Kevin Wassen of Crosby; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.
