David Edward Hughes, Sr. Obit

DAVID EDWARD HUGHES, SR., 91, of Emily, died on Dec. 13, 2023 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Little Pine Township on Aug. 31, 1932 to Loren and Ellen (Kile) Hughes.  He  served as a Fire Warden for Crow Wing County and was a long-time area logger. He was a former employee of Inland Steel. He is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Kim Hughes, Jr. of Outing, Greg Hughes of Emily, Dwayne Hughes of Emily and Richard Hughes of Fifty Lakes; two daughters, Bea Carpentier of Rogers and Faye Hughes of Emily; one sister, Judy Stiner of Emily, 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Services have been held.
