Jerry L. Larson Obit

JERRY L. LARSON passed away unexpectedly at the age of 77 on Feb. 14, 2024. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Larson, his mother Agnes Larson and his sister Joan Oram.   Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Gayle Larson; his daughter, Lisa (Mark) Bissonette and son Steven (Stephanie) Larson.  Jerry is also survived by his four grandchildren, Joel Billstrom (Shelbi Steele), Jessica Billstrom, Cullen Larson, and Gabrielle Larson. Jerry retired as a Sergeant of the Minneapolis Police Department in 1998 after serving for 26 years. Jerry had a lifelong love for sports.  Attending his children’s and grandchildren’s games and activities was extremely important to him.  Jerry loved their life at the lake, golfing, playing racquetball and playing pickleball. Jerry’s presence, sense of humor and smile will be sadly missed by his family and friends. To honor Jerry’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. A celebration of Jerry’s life, to include his family and close friends who loved him, will be held at a future date.  If desired, friends may make memorial contributions in Jerry’s name to, wishesandmore. org, an organization that helps families with kids battling harsh medical conditions, or any charity of your choice that benefits Police Canines.
