Paul D. Anderson Obit

PAUL D. ANDERSON, 87, died at his home on June 21, 2024. He was born in Crosby on Nov. 14, 1936 to Alfred Theodore Anderson and Olga Marie Peterson Anderson. He graduated from C-I in 1954,  St. Olaf College in 1958 and earned an MA in Counseling at the U of M in 1972.  He taught English at St. Louis Park High from  1965 to 1979, worked at US Bank from 1979 to 1993 and Dain Rauscher from 1994 to 2001 as a Human Resources Generalist, Trainer and Organization Development Consultant.  He developed a monthly series of four  classes on how to make a job transition and voluntarily taught for eight years to over 3,000 adults in Eden Prairie and Shoreview.  He was a pianist, church organist and frequent accompanist.  He was a cook, a baker and a candy-maker who shared favorite recipes annually in his Christmas letters.  He enjoyed six trips to Europe, but his favorite place in the world was Cannon Beach in Oregon, where he enjoyed an annual retreat. He was receded in death by his parents. He is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law,  Dr. William and Jean Anderson of Mankato and  Dr. Richard Anderson of Edina;  and two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Kingsley of Minneapolis and Margaret and Dr. Jon Vernon of Indianola, IA; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and a host of valued friends.  He was well loved.
