Carol Jeanne Haverland Obit

CAROL JEANNE HAVERLAND, 80, of Deerwood, passed away on Aug. 18, 2024, at her home. She was born in Farmington on Aug. 9, 1944, to Lloyd and Dallas (Henry) Wagner. She graduated from the Farmington High School, class of 1962. On July 25, 1964, she married Glen Haverland in Farmington. She was a retired bookkeeper/office manager of the Dakota County Tribune/This Week News with 32 years of service. Carol enjoyed volunteering at the Mustard Seed and Salem West in Deerwood. Preceding Carol in death are her parents and sister, Julie Wagner. Carol is survived by her husband Glen; two daughters, Dana (Tom) Riste of Rosemount and Nance Haverland of Casa Grande, AZ; two brothers, Mike (Pam) Wagner of Danbury, WI and John (Sue) Wagner of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Aubrie (Tyler) Klotz, Tristan Rudenick, Macie Riste, and Trevor Rudenick; one great-grandchild, Kaison Klotz and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Aug, 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. with sharing of memories at 2:30 p.m. at the Forty Club in Aitkin (950 Second Street NW). In honor of Carol’s unwavering love of the Minnesota Vikings, we would love it if guests would wear Vikings attire or purple! Dress is casual. We will have light appetizers and some of Carol’s favorite desserts along with lemonade and coffee.
