George Edwin Hardy Obit

GEORGE EDWIN HARDY, 78, of Crosby, passed away at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center on Jan. 29, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1946 in Brainerd to Lyman and Dora (Wilmot) Hardy.   Hardy served in the U.S. Navy for four years with two deployments to Vietnam.  He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 in Ironton.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his sister, Judy McKanna of Crosby and his significant other, Paula Kowalke of Crosby and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; one sister, Phyllis Martin; one brother, Howard Hardy and great-niece Amber McKanna. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Myrin-James American Legion Post in Ironton from 1 to 4 p.m. with sharing of memories at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
