Linda May Henton Peeples Obit

LINDA MAY HENTON PEEPLES, 73, of Deerwood, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital. She was born April 24, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, IA, to Robert Eugene and Ruth Henton. She was married to Douglas Clifton Peeples on Dec. 22, 1972, in Cedar Rapids. Linda was a resident of Crosby and Deerwood since 2007, she owned and operated Gifts Galore in Crosby for 17 years. She was also editor of the Crosby-Ironton Courier, and was controller of several major grocery store chains in Arizona and Texas. She taught accounting at a junior college in Phoenix, AZ. She graduated from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul with a degree in accounting and was a Certified Accounts Professional.   She is proceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Doug; sons, R. Brian Peeples of Glendale, AZ, and Blake C. Peeples of Deerwood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kirk E. and Angel Henton of Frisco, TX, and David E. and Paula Henton of Phoenix, AZ; stepdaughters and step-son-in-law, Brooke A. and Gene Martiner of Becker, Michelle R. Peeples of St. Paul and Stephanie E. Peeples of Cedar Rapids, IA; her faithful Cairn Terrier, Toby Keith, and long-time friend, Devany Ahlvers of Brooklyn Park. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, on Saturday, June 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 14 at the Baker Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, IA.   Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to the American Kidney Fund, American Diabetes Associate, American Heart Association or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are with Koop Funeral Home of Crosby.
