Anthony Marc Tuhacek Obit

It is with absolute heartbreak that we share the unexpected passing of Anthony Marc Tuhacek, April 14, 1971—May 11, 2025. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, resided near Houston, TX, and recently relocated to Deerwood, MN, in October 2024. Anthony attended the University of Michigan and majored in greenscaping. He was an Air Force combat veteran during the Gulf War in Kuwait. After his military service, Anthony worked as a motorcycle mechanic for Harley-Davidson. His love of music played an indispensable part in his life. He often reminisced about following the "Grateful Dead" in the 90’s. Anthony was an amazing and talented guitarist and vocalist. He taught his son, August, to play the guitar at an early age. Together, they played several venues in the Houston area. The father-son duo relocated, and they quickly became local favorites at the American Legion Walter Scott Erickson Post #557 in Deerwood. August and Anthony were inseparable, and musically, they shared an incredible bond. Anthony would give you the shirt off his back. He loved all the kitties and the dogs. He had a kind and gentle spirit. The Ripple of his absence continues to affect us. We will love and miss him always and forever. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon McNeil and Tony Tuhacek. He is survived by his son August Tuhacek, daughter-in-law Summer Tuhacek (Hofstrand), and his Fiancé Michelle Marie. A private memorial will be held for close friends and family, TBD.
