NOREEN J. (BATES) MANSKE, 87, of Winooski, VT, passed away peacefully with her two sons at her side on Jan. 29, 2026, at Our Lady of Providence Residential Care Home in Winooski, VT. She was born on Jan. 7, 1939 in Ladysmith, WI to the late Rollo and Hazel (Bartlett) Bates. She attended Ladysmith High School and after graduating worked for General Mills. She married the love of her life, Don Manske, on Jan. 23, 1960 in Minnesota. Noreen and Don moved to St. Albans, VT in May, 1974 where they raised two sons, Troy and Greg.

MARCELLA ADELINE OLSON, 94, of White Bear Lake formerly of Crosby, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 surrounded by family. She was born Feb. 29, 1932. She was employed at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Roger Olson and son-in-law Pedar Bjerkness.

HARVEY JAY CHAMBERLIN, 90, of Brainerd, passed away at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. He was born on Nov. 26, 1935 in Roscoe, Nebraska to Harvey and Janice (Weeks) Chamberlin in the back of the family's small town grocery store. His father was a pastor and they moved many times. In his early teen years his family moved to Higgins, TX to operate a hatchery which was destroyed by a tornado, killing his father in 1949. In 1953 Harvey graduated from North Platte High School and attended Rocky Mountain Bible Institute in Denver, CO where he was introduced to Karen.

Roy Arthur Van Horn Obit

ROY ARTHUR VAN HORN, 104, of Aitkin, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at his home. Roy was born May 12, 1922 in Mission to Jesse and Hettie (Amos) Van Horn, the first of nine children.  He attended Walker School in Mission Township, grade 1 through 8.  Because of the distance to school, Roy stayed with his grandparents during the winter months. His grandmother took him to school with the horse and sled. After finishing the eighth grade, Roy helped his dad cut and sell pulp wood.  One fall he went to South Dakota to work in the harvest fields.
