GLENNIS EILEEN MARUSKIE, 86, of Battleview, ND, passed away on Jan. 7, 2023 at Augusta Place in Bismarck, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 27 years, two brothers Clarence and Robert, sister Gerry, nephew Eric Moe and great-nephew Trevor Johnson.

ARNOLD ROY LORENSON,  86, of Aitkin, died on April 21, 2023 at his home.  He was born on Dec. 22, 1936 in Thief River Falls to Edward and Laura (Woyach) Lorenson.  Arnold was a retired math teacher, who enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, reading, jigsaw puzzles and just being outdoors. Preceding Arnold in death are his parents, his wife Junnell (LaFrance) Lorenson; his son, Arnold Lorenson, Jr.; three brothers, one sister and two step-sisters.

RALPH JAMES FERRIER, 73, of Aitkin, died on April 25, 2023 at the Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Sturgis, MI to Ralph and Analee (Hart) Ferrier.  He  married Linda Fageroos on Jan. 14, 1982 in Pequot Lakes.  He was an avid outdoorsman and guided for fishing, hunting and trapping trips. Preceding him in death are his parents; one grandson, one great-granddaughter and one brother. He is survived by his wife Linda; three sons and daughters-in-law, Victor  and Jaime Fageroos of Urbandale, IA; Eric and Holly Keck of Clearfield, KY and J.R.

CHRISTINE YVONNE RONO, 52, of Maplewood, died on March 20, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.   She treasured and adored her grandchildren. She loved her family and her friends who were part of her "family". She created memories and precious moments whenever possible. We mourn her loss in our lives, we had very little time to complete any of her bucket list items but she knew she was loved. She had been employed by TSI in Shoreview at time of her death; previous employers were Artistic Finishes in Roseville and Crystal Cabinets in Princeton.

KATHLEEN JO MIDDLETON, 69, of Long Lake, died peacefully on April 24, 2023 at the MC Little Hospice House in Edina surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Crosby on Jan. 15, 1954 to John and Betty (Johnson) Perpich.  She married Patrick Joseph Middleton on Dec. 20, 1974 in Crosby.   Preceding her in death are her parents.

NICOLE ANNE GUTZMAN,  48, of Crosby, died on Feb. 22, 2023.  She was born in Brainerd on July 27, 1974 to Gary and Rose (Barto) Gutzman.   Preceding her in death is her father, Gary Gutzman. She is survived by her daughter, Courtney Gabrio of Deerwood; her sons, Jared Pankratz of Crosby and Wyatt Pankratz of Aberdeen, SD; her mother, Rose Stimac (Don Nickel) of Pequot Lakes; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Cory Gutzman of Blaine and Brent and Amy Gutzman of Aitkin; two sisters, Lisa Gutzman of Crosby and Carla Miller (Bill Robins) of Lindstrom; and five grandchildren.

PEGGY LOUISE ROUBINEK, 64, of Ironton, died at her home on April 18, 2023.  She was born in Crosby on March 16, 1959 to Leonard and Irene (Parsons) Laughton.  She married Micheal James Roubinek on May 13, 1986 in Brainerd. Preceding her in death are her parents; one son Steven Roubinek and one brother, Allen Parsons.

VERA (HAMILTON) RIDLON, 89, died April 11, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born Jan 22, 1934 in Crosby to Harold and Iva (Bickford) Hamilton. She attended Crosby-Ironton schools and later in life took continuing education classes to further her business skills. She married Florian Ridlon on Oct. 14, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Crosby. Together they had six children in Crosby, relocating to Hibbing in 1965 and settled in Buhl in 1973, all the while following the mining iundustry.
