RAY ELLIS was born Sept. 5, 1986 in Crosby to Jerry Ellis and Teresa (Andrews) Ellis. He is survived by his significant other Thressie Sadler, his parents, one son Karson Ellis, one daughter Aurora Ellis, three sisters Jessica Yarborough, Christa Andrews, Jeanne Ellis, Maternal Grandmother Jeanette Horsman, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Charles Andrews, Ted Ellis and Lorraine Bergsing and one uncle Stephen Andrews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Crosby Memorial Park Cook Shack.

We are sad to announce Susan Marie Smolinski Zupfer passed away in Bonita Springs, FL. She was born 80 years ago in St. Paul, MN on Feb. 10, 1946. The first born of nine, she was around children her whole life.   As a teen, Susan met her husband of 61 years and married Gary Henry Zupfer on Feb. 25, 1965. They raised their kids while she managed Lakeview Motel in Crosby, MN. After the children were grown,  she co-founded and owned Blow Molded Specialties.   Later she worked as the Unbank Vault Manager at Grand Casino Mille Lacs.

JON LINDAHL, a wild and crazy, free spirited, adventurous character, with a kind and compassionate heart, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026. He was born Thursday, May 30, 1968 in Crosby. He spent his childhood in Emily alongside his three brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School on his birthday in 1986. Shortly after graduation he moved to New Mexico where he spent a majority of his life building race cars, monster trucks, getting into trouble, and cracking jokes. He then moved back to Minnesota and became a well-known commercial painter.
