Phyllis M. Fletcher, 91, of Emily, died on June 27, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  She was born on Sept. 15, 1927 in Crooked Lake Township to Philip and Mabel (Haarberg) Chenevert.  She married Virl E. Fletcher in Emily on Oct. 8, 1948. She was a humble person who led a modest life.  Her life revolved around a large family and a small group of friends whom she cared about deeply.  She met life's many challenges with tenacity, integrity, and kindness.

Judy Frink Obit

JUDITH A. "JUDY" FRINK, 74, of Crosby, died on June 21, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  She was born on May 12, 1945 in Brainerd to William and Lilian (Anderson) DeRosier. She married Herbert Frink on Dec. 28, 1964 in Brainerd.  She was a retired Kitchen Aid employee with the Crosby-Ironton School District with 28 years of service.  She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William DeRosier; three sisters, Shirley Stowell, Jean Vogt and Rosemary Schulz.

Kathy Jo Riley

KATHY JO RILEY, 69, died June 12, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Pine River on Dec. 3, 1949 to Raymond and Barbara (Hardy) Bair. She graduated from Pine River High School 1967. On Feb. 15, 1969 she was united in marriage to Patrick William Riley in Pine River.
Survivors include her twin sister, Karen Riley of Crosby.

Robert Poyzer obit

Robert Poyzer, 91, a resident of Crosby, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
Robert was born in Fargo, ND on March 31, 1928, the son of Melvin and Maybelle (Evenson) Poyzer. He graduated from Fargo Senior High in 1946. Robert attended University of North Dakota where he graduated in 1950 with a degree in Business Administration.

Courtney (Hamilton) Bussmann Celebration

A Celebration of Life will be held for Courtney (Hamilton) Bussmann on Sunday, June 23 from noon to 5 p.m. in Crosby Memorial Park on Serpent Lake in Crosby.
Bussmann was born Jan. 20, 1989 in Crosby and died May 6, 2019 in Nisswa. She was a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School.
She is survived by children Matthew Miller, Gabriel Chapman, Auna Paulson and Mckenzie Bussmann and her siblings.

Scott Ronald Bundy Obit

SCOTT RONALD BUNDY, 62, of Deerwood, died on June 14, 2019 from the result of an automobile accident.  He was born in Alexandria on March 29, 1957 to Guy and Carolyn (Auran) Bundy.  Scott married Teppi Chileen on Aug. 29, 1987 in Deerwood.  He was employed with the Mann Lake LTD Corporation.  Scott was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 in Deerwood; a retired member of the Deerwood Fire Department; member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood; the NRA; and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Michael Duane Bjerkness Obit

MICHAEL DUANE BJERKNESS, 62, of Crosby, died on June 14, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud.  He was born on Nov. 11, 1955 in Crosby to Duane Edward and Jean (Weitneuer) Bjerkness.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  
Preceding him in death is his father, Duane “Ed” Bjerkness.
He is survived by his mother, Jean; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregory and Katie Bjerkness of Englewood, FL and Marty and Robyn Bjerkness of Merrifield.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Sunday, June 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Judith Stefan Obit

JUDITH STEFAN, age 82, of Wayne, IL, formerly of Medinah, IL died May 18, 2019 in Naperville, IL.
She was born to Jewels and Geneva Ridlon and grew up in Crosby-Ironton.
She is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Tom) Rocca of Hiddenite NC, sons; Bruce (Nataly) of Lakeville, and Bradley (Michelle) of St. Charles, IL, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence J. Stefan, grandson Justin, and a brother Terry Ridlon.
A Memorial Visitation has been held.

A celebration of life will be held for Curtis Midthun at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby, on Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m.
A reception will follow the celebration.
A private interment is planned.

Dennis Cain Celebration

DENNIS JUSTIN CAIN, 79, of Aitkin and Weslaco, TX died on March 23 in Weslaco, TX. He was born on May 3, 1939 in Faribault to Ira and Lorena (Witt) Cain.
Dennis married Colleen (Johnson) Cain on Oct. 8, 1961 in Claremont. Together they settled in Edina where Dennis was a firefighter for the City of Edina for 20 years. Dennis was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy (1956-60) and a member of the Deerwood American Legion Post #557.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Lorena Cain and an older brother, Richard Cain.
