RALPH JAMES FERRIER, 73 of Aitkin, died on April 25, 2023 at the Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Sturgis, MI to Ralph and Analee (Hart) Ferrier.  He  married Linda Fageroos on Jan. 14, 1982 in Pequot Lakes.  He was an avid outdoorsman and guided for fishing, hunting and trapping trips.
Preceding him in death are his parents; one grandson, one great-granddaughter and one brother.

A Memorial Gathering for Gloria (Palm) Dahlman and Virgil Dahlman of Pinehurst, NC, will be held on Friday, June 23 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., sharing of memories will be at 10: a.m.
Graveside Service will be at the Deerwood Scandia Cemetery at 11 a.m.  Reception to follow at the Taconite Canteen in Ironton.

David William Bolei Obit

DAVID WILLIAM BOLEI, 80, of Crosby, died on June 17, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Crosby on June 7, 1943 to Jess and Gertie (Jones) Bolei.  He married Connie Jo Benjamin on July 20, 2008 in Crosby.  He was a retired owner of D & J Machining in Brainerd and a member of the Crosslake American Legion.  He was an avid outdoorsman with several prize mounts in his home.  
David was a man of honor and integrity, who  loved to be in and with nature.  His humility was a lesson to many and his humor unique and infectious.  He will be missed by many.  

Victoria McCollum Obit

VICTORIA McCOLLUM, 94, of Oceanside, CA formerly of Yuma, AZ died on Feb. 21, 2023.  She was born in Aitkin on March 18, 1928 to Frank and Frances (Smolnikar) Burgstaler.
Victoria is survived by two sons, Calvin (Jackie) McCollum and Clarence (Shelley) McCollum; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Floyd; four sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.
Arrangements are with Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

GARY MARK ZGUTOWICZ, 78, of Deerwood, died on June 6, 2023 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  He was born in Minneapolis on June 22, 1944 to Walter and Ann (Blahut) Zgutowicz.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  Gary married Susan Beam on Sept. 21, 1968 in Minneapolis.

PATRICK "PAT" SMITH, 73, of Deerwood, MN, passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 19, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at Cuyuna Rolling Hills Golf Course on Saturday, June 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a brief program at 5:30 p.m. with time for anyone to share stories of Pat. Food will also be served. In place of gifts or flowers, the family has started a memorial fund at the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby. Patricia "Pat" A. Genz Obit

PATRICIA "PAT" A. GENZ, 76, of Emily,   passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023 at Riverwood Hospital in Aitkin.   Pat was born June 20, 1946 in St. Paul to Anton and Elizabeth (Steichen) Fendrick.  She attended St. Stanislaus School in St. Paul until 1961 and then graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1963.  After high school she worked at St. Paul Companies until she met the future love of her life.  On Aug. 30, 1974, she married Gene Genz in St. Paul. They bought their first house in Crosby and moved to Emily in 1975, where they spent the remainder of their lives.
