LEO JOHN CEMENSKY, 80, of Fifty Lakes, died at his home on Aug. 7, 2022.   He was born on March 27, 1942 in Lexington Township to Anton and Emily (Trczinsky) Cemensky. He married Vikki Dunham on Dec. 10, 2001 in Fargo, ND. He was a retired member of the Operating Engineers Local 49 Union.   He is survived by his wife Vikki; two sons, Lee Cemensky of Las Vegas, NV and Jeff (RaNae) Cemensky of Fifty Lakes; one daughter, Desiree Dunham of Elida, OH; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Judith "Judy" Ann (Burgstaler) Buckley

JUDITH "JUDY" ANN (BURGSTALER) BUCKLEY, 79 of Hinckley, passed Aug. 15, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Judy was born Sept. 2, 1942, to John and Irene (Lind) Burgstaler in Crosby. She married Gary Buckley on Oct. 9, 1976, in Fridley. She loved her life, family, friends and her puppy dog Sofe. Her spirit shined through to all who knew and loved her. She touched others lives in a positive and upbeat way. Judy was the life of the party– vibrant and full of love and lots of laughter. She was a dental assistant who loved gardening, shopping, decorating her home and of course, flamingos!

James Jesse Hunter Obit

JAMES JESSE HUNTER, 73, of Crosby, died on Aug. 17, 2022. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Ironton American Legion Post 443. Private family interment. Jim was born on Nov.18, 1948 to Claude and Evelyn (Deen) Hunter in Walsh, CO. Jim was a man who was constantly on the go, starting at age 13 when he entered the work force.

JOE PATRICK GHERITY, 53, of Brainerd, died on Aug. 1, 2022, at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1968 in Ely to Beverly Ann (Johnson) Gherity and Joseph Patrick Gherity. He graduated from Como Park High School, he served in the Army for two years graduated Welding School and Cordon Bleu Cooking School. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Bernice "Bernie" (Oneita) Kirkpatrick Obit

BERNICE "BERNIE" (ONEITA) KIRKPATRICK,  96 passed away on July 5, 2022 in St. Paul, with family by her side. Bernie and husband Bruce Austin Kirkpatrick settled in Crosby after retirement and lived on Rabbit Lake, later moving to Heartwood Senior Living Community until 2018. In her younger years she was a nursery school teacher in Northfield. Bernie loved children with her whole heart and her curiosity for others and their stories remained even as she declined with Alzheimer's. She will be dearly missed. Survived by daughter, Amy (Steve); son, Kemper; and granddaughter, Emily.

GARY G. HITE, 75 of Little Pine, died on July 26, 2022 at his home.   He was born in Crosby on June 30, 1947 to Glen Jr. and Alice (Johnson) Hite. Gary married Patricia Weaver on September 9, 1967 in Emily.  He was a retired Burlington Northern Railroad employee with 25 years of service.

Dayna Jane (Hoppe) Richards Obit

DAYNA JANE (HOPPE) RICHARDS, 58, left us all too soon. She passed away July 27, 2022 from Crohn's disease and liver failure. She was born Nov. 24, 1963 to Edwin “Dan” Hoppe and Colleen (Neutzling) Hoppe in St. Cloud.  She graduated from Crosby- Ironton High School in 1982 and shortly  after she spent 16 years in Florida, before moving back to Minnesota in 2001 after the passing of her mother. Some of her favorite things were gardening, camping, being on the water, (be it lake or ocean), watching wildlife and her beloved dogs and cats.
