THOMAS MARVIN SWENSEN, 80, of Emily, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Care Center in Crosby surrounded by his family. He was born July 15, 1941 in Willmar to Harriet and Charles “Phil” Swensen. He graduated from Swanville High School in 1959. He moved to Crosby in 1960 where he met his loving wife of more than 60 years, Betty Moe. The couple married Aug. 4, 1961 and have four children. He worked as a linotype operator for the Crosby-Ironton Courier in Crosby.

SUSAN MARIE MIDDLETON-SKARIN, 61, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Meeker Manor Rehabilitation Center comforted by Moments Hospice. Susan was born July 15, 1960 and grew up between Edina and Crosby. Susan endured many struggles throughout her life; yet, her legacy is best defined by her strength, resilience, wit, and above all, her steadfast desire to live. She met the love of her life, Kenny, in her journey to sobriety. Together, Kenny and Susan fostered four children: Dane, Kim, Mike and Jenny, beginning as young children through their teenage years.

ROBERT "BOB" GENE SEVERSON, 70, of Brainerd died on June 6, 2022 at his home.  He was born on April 18, 1952 in Austin to Maurice and Geraldine (Anderson) Severson. He married Louise Stahl on June 30, 1996 in Brainerd.  He was the owner and operator of Bob Severson Mobil Lock, was a member of Business Networking International and a former member of the Sertoma Club in Brainerd. Preceding him in death are his parents.

BRUCE "BUTCH" GAYLON ANDERSON, 75, of Minneapolis, passed away unexpectedly in Wisconsin on May 28, 2022.
Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Janet and Judy.
Survived by his two  daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley and Scott of Whitewater, Wl and Kelli  and Jason of Sturgeon Lake; three grandchildren  and many others.

Mona Dianne Mitchell Celebration of Life

MONA DIANNE MITCHELL passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 28, 2021 in Crosby. She was born, a twin, to Yvonne and Charlie Mitchell of Emily on Oct. 13, 1935. Mona spent a happy childhood in the Village of Emily surrounded by loving relatives and friends. After high school, Mona moved, by herself, to Colorado Springs, CO, where she allegedly had a very good time. Charles R. Waughop eventually convinced her to return to Minnesota and marry him, which she did. Together, they had two girls, Danette and Stephanie and lived in California, West Virginia and Illinois.

STANLEY ARTHUR MOORE, 88, of Deerwood, died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his home. He was born July 2, 1933 to John and Harta (Wheelock) Moore in Hennepin County.  
While attending high school, he transferred to a vocational school in Minneapolis.  His father was an instructor at what is now known as Dunwoody College of Technology where Stan attended and excelled while studying mechanics.

ROBERT "BOB" LINUS HAARMAN,  83, of Emily,  died May 28, 2022, at his home with family at his side after a short, sharp battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
During a lifetime of public service to towns and cities across greater Minnesota, he had a transformative impact on the communities he served.  The hallmark of his work was the efficient use of the public dollar.

OWEN DALE GRUNZKE, 84, of Crosby, died at his home on May 17, 2022.  He was born in Wells on Dec. 31, 1937 to Frederick and Bernice (Brandt) Grunzke.  Owen married Donna Kinney on Dec. 13, 1959 in Wells.  He was a former member and past president of The St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Minnesota Lake.  After his retirement Owen served on the Dunbar Township Board and the Wolford Township Board.
Preceding Owen in death are his parents; one brother, Harold Grunzke and one sister, Delores Schroeder.
