ROBERT "BOB" KUSCHEL, 68, of Ironton, died on Aug. 2, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1953 in Brainerd to Richard and Violet (Nordin) Kuschel. He married Cindra Yaple on Aug. 4, 1979 in Prior Lake. He was a retired Crosby-Ironton High School teacher, teaching chemistry, physics and 9th grade science. He gave over 30 years of service.

Donald Bobich obit

DONALD BOBICH, 83, of Brainerd, died on Aug. 3, 2021 at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. He was born on June 13, 1938 in Crosby to Rade and Mildred (Krinovich) Bobich. Don was a Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, class of 1956. He was a retired Vice President of sales with Euclid, Inc. with 35 years of service. The Euc trucks were used extensively in creating the open pits that make up the lakes and hills that are now the prime destination for the mountain bikers.

Eugene "Gene" Anderson Obit

EUGENE "GENE" ANDERSON, age 77, of Klondyke (Irondale Township), passed Aug. 1, 2021 at Abbott Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis from complications due to lung cancer. He was born on Dec. 3, 1943. In his retirement he had a passion for woodworking, tractors, agates, the lake, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed. He is proceeded in death by his father, Howard Anderson, mother, Francis Anderson and granddaughter Shelly Mae.

James C. Dusbabek Obit

JAMES C. DUSBABEK, 95, of Garrison, died at his home on July 27, 2021. A private family mass is being held. Burial will be at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Hillman. The family would prefer no memorials or flowers. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

MAY "SIS" M. EHRICH, 89, of Brainerd, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Friends and family are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. May was born on May Day of 1932 in Irondale Township, to Louis and Margaret (Stimach) Perpich. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School, where she met her husband of 66 years, Fred.

Scott Thomas Johnson Obit

SCOTT THOMAS JOHNSON of Crosby passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Crosby on Jan. 6, 1947 to Pat and Eva (Sanderson) Johnson. Scott enlisted in the United States Navy, completed carpentry school, and worked for Inland Steel mining company. He also was employed by Scorpion Snowmobile. Scott thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and anything and everything outdoors. Preceding Scott in death are his parents, Pat and Eva Johnson; his wife Cheryl (Thomas) Johnson and brother’s Jack, Grant and James Johnson.

Kathy Ann Wiener Obit

KATHY ANN WIENER, 57, of Ironton, died on July 26, 2021, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born in Minneapolis on Sept. 13, 1963 to Paul and Beatrice (Himango) Blocker. She married Scott Wiener on June 15, 2015 in Ironton. She is survived by her husband, Scott; her mother, Jennie (Donald Neva) Pitlick of Crosby; and one brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Lana Blocker of Elk River. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

RON "RONNIE" C. PROODIAN passed away March 24, 2020 at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Cloud from complications related to advanced kidney disease. To honor him, a graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Cemetery, 21235 Wood Avenue, Ironton, with Deacon Dan Goshey presiding.
