Obituaries

CAROL MARIE WINGQUIST, 82, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Crosby, died Dec. 10, 2019,  at her home.
Born May 17, 1937 in Duluth to Carl Gustave Wingquist and Mae Angeline (Morin) Wingquist, she graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1955. She attended St. Catherine University and graduated in 1958 as a registered nurse.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Carl F. Wingquist, Colorado Springs, CO.
Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery at a later date.

MARK EDWARD SANDBERG died at home Friday, Dec. 6 from complications from ALS.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1983 where he served for 21 years, retiring in 2004 as a SFC.
He then started a new career path with Intercity Transit where he worked 14 years and retired as Operations Manager in 2018.
His joys in life were his family, serving his country and community. His greatest hobbies were camping, boating, fishing, traveling, football, a good BBQ and a cold beer. He will be missed beyond words.

RICKY D. FINSETH, 67, of Rabbit Lake Township died on Nov. 16, 2019 at his home following a brief battle with cancer. He was born on Jan. 2, 1952 in Preston to Donald and Alta (Richter) Finseth.  He was passionate about dairy farming and was an advocate for farmers and dairies across the Midwest during his long and successful career with Vigortone and Farmland companies. Most recently he served as the building maintenance manager for Deerwood Housing. An accomplished craftsman, he  had a tremendous talent for woodworking with an affinity for the beauty of hardwoods like oak and maple.
