DANIEL KEITH FLETCHER, 75, of Emily, passed away at his home on April 29, 2025. He was born in Crosby on February 19, 1950 to Golden and Etta (Wiener) Fletcher. He was united in marriage with Marie Wolford on Aug. 25, 1972 in North Dakota. He is survived by his wife, Marie; his sons, Clint Fletcher of Emily and Delaney Fletcher of Brainerd; his daughters, Rhonda (John) Fletcher-Olson of Milton, FL and Jeannie Carlson of Crosby; two brothers, Gus Fletcher of Emily and Jerry (Nancy) Fletcher of Crosby; one sister, Linda (Mick) Hilger of Waterloo, IA and 11 grandchildren.

MARY ELIZABETH (KRALL) SABYAN, 80, passed away at the Little Falls Care Center on July 2, 2025. She was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd to Louis and Louise (O’Brien) Krall on June 22, 1945. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, completing jigsaw puzzles, playing cards with her family and spending time at the lake. Over the years, she donated hundreds of hand-made hats and scarves to organizations in the Lakes Area and the Twin Cities.

STEVE McKENNEY passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Steve was born July 14, 1960 in El Paso, TX and spent his formative years between El Paso and Sudbury, MA. After college, Steve and his wife, Becky, spent nine years running a small bar and restaurant, called McKenney’s Pub. Steve went on to build a 34-year career in the wood products industry working as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager. He enjoyed the work and was proud to make a difference in people’s lives and make the work place safer. Steve’s work took him and Becky across the country.

FLOYD MICHAEL JENSEN, 65, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, surrounded by his family and in the comfort of his home after a courageous and heroic battle with a GIST tumor. Floyd was born on Jan. 30, 1960 to James Jr. and Carol (Trantanella) Jensen in St. Paul. He graduated from Murray High School in 1978 and later attended the University of Minnesota. Floyd had a passion for construction and worked his entire life in the construction industry. He got his start as a roofing expert at Single Ply Systems and later a career at Nor-Son Construction in project management and sales.

ROXANNE CHRISTINE KVAMSO, 48, of Brainerd, passed away on June 15, 2025 at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. She was born in Aitkin on Nov. 3, 1976 to Kenneth and Antoinette (Burgwald) Kvamso.   She was a faithful daughter and sister and was a good friend and helpful to many. She will be missed.   She is survived by her mother, Antoinette Kvamso of Ironton; and two brothers, James Kvamso of Brainerd and Chris Kvamso of Ironton. Preceding her in death is her father, and one sister, Victoria Kvamso. No services are being held.

SEAN PATRIK O'BRYAN, 58, of Emily, passed away on June 6, 2025. He was born in St. Louis Park on June 24, 1966 to Steven and Jacqueline (Swanson) O’Bryan. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid fisherman and a wonderful cook. He is survived by his daughters, Sigre O’Bryan and Alison O’Bryan both of Ironton; step-daughters, Samantha Mitchell of Paynesville, Courtnie Smith of Palisade, Alyssa Cooper and Taylor Smith both of Crosby; step sons, Bryce Cooper of Emily and Cayleb Smith of Crosby; one grandchild and four step-grandchildren.

Robert "Bob" Gordon Enga Obit

ROBERT "BOB" GORDON ENGA, 93, of Deerwood, passed away on June 24, 2025 at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. He was born on May 23, 1932 in Minneapolis to Albert and Myrtle (Harris) Enga.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was united in marriage with Hazel Underdahl on May 9, 1953 in Mason City, IA. He was a faithful man worshiping with the local Assembly of God Faith Community. He is survived by his wife Hazel; his two sons, Robert (Karen) Enga, Jr.

Barbara Ann Eastham Obit

On June 16, 2025, at the age of 77, Barbara Ann Eastham passed away peacefully with her devoted husband of 57 years, Larry by her side. Born on Sept. 3, 1947, to Matt and Alice Butorac in Brainerd, MN, Barbara assumed the role of "Big Sis" seriously with a brother or sister tagging along wherever she went. She once said Marty was attached to her hip! There were many fun childhood memories from growing up in Crosby, MN. Picnics at Serpent Lake, get-togethers at the Steinke Ranch, Sunday dinners at Grandma's, car hopping at The Spot Drive Inn, and Christmas Eve with the cousins.

William "Bill" Dennis Johnson Obit

WILLIAM "BILL" DENNIS JOHNSON, 72, of Crosby, passed away on June 8, 2025 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on July 23, 1952 in Brainerd to Dennis and Donna (Olson) Johnson.   Bill was a retired Ironton Fireman. He was responsible for the restoration of the 1910 fire truck. In 1985 he was awarded with Fireman of the Year.
